WELCOME TO PRESCHOOL AT CACHELLE
Reggio Inspired

Creativity becomes more visible when adults try to be more attentive to the cognitive processes of children than to the results they achieve in various fields of doing and understanding.

Pre-K Education for 3 year olds
As preschoolers gain more self-esteem, they feel ready to take on the world. Our Preschool program enhances that confidence by providing activities to help children become problem solvers and lifelong learners.
Through independent exploration, discovery activities, and hands-on learning, preschoolers develop early literacy, math, science, and social skills. A healthy dose of arts, music, and dancing keeps them active, too.

Let's Talk About Kindergarten
In a Reggio Emilia inspired primary school, 5-6-year-olds continue to learn through exploration, creativity, and collaboration. They engage in project-based learning that allows them to explore topics in-depth and from multiple perspectives, developing their critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Children have daily opportunities to express themselves through various forms of media, including art, music, and drama, and to develop their language and literacy skills through storytelling, writing, and reading.
The Reggio Emilia approach emphasizes the importance of relationships and community-building, and Kindergarteners learn to communicate effectively, collaborate with others, and develop a sense of empathy and respect for diverse perspectives.

Reggio Emilia is an educational approach to early childhood education that originated in the town of Reggio Emilia in Italy. There are some general principles and practices that we typically follow. Here are some common elements that might be included:
-
Art and creativity: Reggio Emilia places a strong emphasis on creativity and self-expression, so many kindergartens in this approach will have dedicated classes or activities that focus on art, music, and drama.
-
Language and literacy: Language development is a key part of the Reggio Emilia approach, so children will have classes or activities that focus on storytelling, reading, writing, and language exploration.
-
Science and exploration: Reggio Emilia also values exploration and inquiry-based learning, so children might have classes or activities that focus on science, nature, and the world around them.
-
Movement and physical activity: Movement and physical activity are also important for young children's development, so Reggio Emilia kindergartens will have classes or activities that focus on gross motor skills, such as running and jumping, as well as fine motor skills, such as drawing and cutting.
-
Social-emotional development: Reggio Emilia also places a strong emphasis on social-emotional development, so children will have classes or activities that focus on building relationships, understanding emotions, and developing empathy and compassion.
-
Community involvement: Finally, Reggio Emilia is a community-based approach to education, so children will have opportunities to engage with their local community through field trips, community service projects, and other activities.
